Book Recommendation ➱ A Touch of Maple a Small Town MM Hockey Romance by Amy Aislin

A Touch of Maple A Touch of Maple by Amy Aislin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

📖Book Info
After being traded numerous times over the course of his pro hockey career, all Bellamy Jordan wants is a place where he belongs. Burlington, Vermont, home of the Vermont Trailblazers, his newest team, might just be that place. The bonus: he’s within spitting distance of the grandparents who raised him. The drawback: his long-time rival’s gorgeous brother—who he can’t get out of his mind—also lives nearby.

And he hates Bellamy on sight.

Jason Zervudachi is busy enough trying to diversify his family’s maple syrup farm while completing his master’s degree. Adding in an attractive complication like Bellamy? Hard pass. Even so, there’s something more behind Bellamy’s eyes that draws Jason in, but Bellamy is his brother’s rival. There’s a sibling rule against that, right? There must be.

Except Bellamy isn’t at all what Jason expects—and neither is the connection between them.

💭Our Thoughts
Heart ❤️ Melt

"I was prepared to hate him on principle, but...he's massively unhateable."
"debatable"

😂
Bellamy was so tired of not being traded from one team to the next, of not having the security of knowing where his home would be in a year or two. For the first time in his career, he felt he had a chance at that with the Trailblazers. A chance to put down roots.
And it looked like there might even be a chance at love again.

"It was a trustworthy smile, the kind that said come tell me all your secrets. I promise to keep them safe."
Jason was not overly impressed with his first sight of Bellamy.
But his second? The one where they actually talked to each other?
That led him to question what he thought he knew about the man, leaving him curious and triggering open the door that had for so long sealed his heart

"It felt like his heart had shattered and been rearranged stronger than ever." ❤️‍🔥
Jason and Bellamy both had negative past experiences with relationships but it wasn't enough to douse the spark that was burning between them.
Even the rivalry between Jason's brother and Bellamy wasn't going to put a damper on it.

This was packed with so many melt-my-heart moments.
I laughed, felt all the fuzzies, smirked, backed out of the room quietly (didnt want to interrupt the more private moments),
and fell in love with the possibilities.
I adored both of them so much
The way they honestly opened up about their pasts with one another
The duck-it moment when Jason just went all in - so cute
The trust built between them when they had every reason to question everything
Oh, and the family - both blood and by choice - such a solid supporting cast
Jason's dad was the bomb!
This had it all!
A must-read!

I am so looking forward to Dabb's story.
