💭Our Thoughts

Princess Lilac is believed to be cursed and unfit to rule by many of her people. With her Accession looming and the kingdom on the brink of chaos, she sets out on a perilous journey in search of a possible remedy to break the curse. Her quest will take her through the mystical Brocéliande Forest where she will encounter beings she has only read about. Mischievous fairies, cunning vampires, friendly and not-so-friendly witches, not to mention a handsome, exiled vampire named Garin who may hold the key to her freedom.

Now if they can both survive not only the Forest but also each other

This is the first book in the series and it did not disappoint!
The first couple of chapters were character introductions and foundation-building
However, once the story started to take off?
I was captivated
With its witty banter, thrilling adventure, and a young heroine who defied expectations
I was looking for things to do that allowed me to keep listening I was that captivated.
This was dually narrated which, for me, just gave the characters more life.
I was there, I was in the way, constantly giving my two cents, lol.
Lucky I am not in a little room at the moment I would easily forget I wasn't really there

The author did a wonderful job of blending folklore, court life, adventure, and various fantasy and paranormal characters in a way that captivated and entertained.
Let me not forget the high-friction romance between Lilac and Garin

I suggest for those who can go with the Audio!
They did a great job on the narration and bringing this story and its characters to life
