The blurb did not do this story justice
For me, this felt like a dash of Oz with a pinch of Alice blended in with a wonderfully creative YA Fantasy Adventure Romance
The story starts in the past and immediately had me hooked with the little twist that left us hanging - There are a lot of little moments here and there that are IDK a bit like cake bites (better than breadcrumbs) that kept me guessing and a bit curious
Alexander, who immediately stole my heart, is a bit of a storyteller and quite the dreamer. He is living with his aunt and uncle during the great depression. When things turn bad for his family he makes a final wish only he finds that his heart's desire is a bit more(?) than he knew
I don't think I can do justice to this tale. Packed with adventure. Magic. A whole lot of mayhem. Self-discovery. Acceptance. Personal growth. Young love. (The princess was such a perfect match for Alexander)
If you enjoy YA fantasy romance (clean) with plenty of action and adventure, an engaging storyline that promises to captivate from beginning to end.
Packed with well-crafted characters that take place in a beautifully crafted universe this would be for you
