I’ve loved Raphael in secret for as long as I can remember. And always believed he’d never love me back. He’s not only older and my brothers’ associate, but his vow of celibacy is notorious in the Underworld.
That’s okay. I am used to not being anyone’s first choice, dreaming of the impossible, and experiencing life through the lens of my camera.
Then an opportunity arises, and I move to Miami for three months to prepare for a gallery show featuring my photography.
I never imagined we’d get close.
I never imagined he’d give in.
I can’t help myself indulging.
But I have to end it. If my brothers find out, they will destroy him without hesitation.

As the cartel boss, I lead a busy life with no time for distractions and no patience for anything else. The more I work, the less time I have to battle the demons that have haunted me my entire life. Then my associates ask me to guard their little sister, the task annoying me to no end. Of all the damn cities, it had to be mine.
She’s too sheltered.
Too pure.
Too damn young for a hardened man like me, but I can’t refuse.
She’s a princess caught in my dark lair, ripe to be devoured, taunting me to claim her.
The first day in, she gets hurt, and I spiral down a path of no return.
No woman has broken my iron will. Yet every second I spend in her vicinity, I crave more to the point of losing my damn sanity.
Wanting her is out of my control.
Having her is forbidden.
Keeping her will end me.
Not being able to stay away seals my fate. She's worth burning my empire down for.
