📖Book Info
WELCOME TO SEXY AS SIN: LAS VEGAS, where ambition and passion always burn bright!
The first thing you need to know about Beckett Harrington? Trouble in a three thousand dollar suit.
The next? He’s my new boss.
I run The Dutch Wall—Onyx Hotel’s most exclusive bar. My bar. My rules. I’ve kept it perfect without a Harrington anywhere near it.
Then he walked back into Vegas, and suddenly I was twenty-one again—blurting out how much I loved him, and breaking when he turned me down.
I swore I’d never make that mistake twice.
One night, too much tequila, and a wedding chapel later… the man who rejected me isn’t just my boss. He’s my husband.
I want out. He doesn’t.
Now I work for him, wear his ring, and pretend none of it matters. But every time he’s close, the line between hating him and wanting him disappears.
But Beckett Harrington has always been a bad idea and unfortunately…I’ve never been good at saying no to those.
Frankie and Beckett were first introduced in The Shadow Brides Series.
💭Our Thoughts
"I vow to never stop making your life a little louder. A little messier. More grand than you ever thought it could be."
I do wish this had been full-length 😔 (greedy, I know) I understand there is a previous book with them which I did not read... I will be rectifying that
I wanted more time with everyone.
Wildflowers & Whiskey offered up a little of everything
Surprises: like waking up married
Grovelling: nothing like messing up your second chance
Humor: Frankie was quick-witted with her comebacks
Smexy: the tension between these two 💦
Villains that give the icks: the exes (in their minds anyway) were such vile pieces of work!!
Angst: refer to vile villains
More smexy: the capitulation
Suspense: I couldn't see a way to fix the damage being done
Friends to the rescue: That is how you fix the problem
Note: Biological donors were a day late, in my opinion
"Because how do you process the kind of pain that isn't physical? The kind that settles into your bones and whispers You're not enough?"
Frankie had survived so much. Her scars were still healing years later.
She had made her own way in life. Walked away from the lies and trappings of her family's wealth.
But the past always seems to find a way to haunt the future.
And Frankies had just kicked the door in.
"Let me in, all the way. I'm not going anywhere."
Beckett was such a blind fool at times. His heart was literally telling him, but his mind could not process the actions to follow through.
I greatly enjoyed the chemistry between these two.
His groveling. How fiercely she guarded her heart .
The moment they both realized they were fighting a losing battle 🔥🧯
Despite Beckett's slow uptake of proper relationship etiquette, he managed to wiggle his way back into Frankie's heart and make things right.
"Hope is the cruelest feeling-because even after everything, I still have it."
Beckett so messed up. I get he was not thinking rationally, a pure reaction to his anger. But I was with Frankie here; she was just in her pain. He's lucky she loved him
I am glad his friends took up the helm and gave him a bit of assistance.
