Sure, it is light-years away on another planet

And yeah, they are another species, but they are compatible

A girl's gotta grab that brass ring when the chance arises

Make her own happy ever after

Hunter doesn't want a mate. He has a dangerous job that would put a partner at risk. He firmly does not believe in the "affinity pulse". The idea that there is a woman crafted by fate just for him is ridiculous

That is, until Melody

Oh, how the mighty have bent the knee

This was a high heat - they can't keep their appendages off each other kind of heat - scifi romance. 

Easy-on-the-emotions, candy-sweet, make-you-smile wrapped up in a happily ever after 

Perfect for a beach read, when you need to lighten up, or as a palate cleanser after a high-angst read

This was my first read in this series, and it was easy to follow, but I suggest starting at the beginning of the series if you can.
