💭Our Thoughts

Our young hero of this tale seems to trip and find himself lost in the woods. A bit unsure of where he is, he addresses the woods only for the owls to reply

"We are the owls of Wickenden Wood! We are the guardians of this wonderful place, and we are certain we have never seen your face"

Wanting to return home he enquires as to how only to find instead he must entertain them with a tale if he wants directions to the proper trail

(I couldn't help it the whole story is written in rhyme - a bit addicting)

"For pity's sake! This whole thing is absurd! There must be some mistake!"

But there is not and the owls demand an entertaining tale if our hero wants to return home

Don't fret he eventually finds it in him and finds himself transported back to where he began

I have to say this was an interesting read. A mix of fantasy, fun, and a bit of fright.

Wonderful illustrations that bring the story to life.

Would recommend it for older children and yeah some of us adults will enjoy it as well
