📖Book Info
A ruthless fire vampire. An unsuspecting human. A bargain that will cost them everything.
Tatyana Vorona has no idea that she just made a deal with a vampire. When the naïve human bookkeeper offers to help locate embezzled funds for a wealthy CEO, she doesn’t realize she’s being set up as bait.
Oleg Sokolov is a fire vampire as ancient as he is vicious. It’s bad enough that his daughter stole money from him, but now she’s sought refuge with one of his bitter rivals. He wants her back under his control, and he doesn’t mind using Tatyana to draw her out.
But as Oleg spends more time with Tatyana, he begins to want her for more than just revenge. When Tatyana is attacked, Oleg is forced to reveal his true nature to save her. Can he convince her to stay in his bloody world when he’s the reason she’s in danger?
Dark and compelling, BLOOD MOSAIC is the first in a new series from USA Today Bestselling Author Elizabeth Hunter, set in her popular Elemental universe.
💭Our Thoughts
I don't even know where to start with this read.
I will say strap in and hold on - this is one wild ride!
Highly recommend! This is the first in the series and definitely for those who enjoy well-executed, immersive storylines, packed with extraordinary characters, lots of edge-of-your-seat action, some suspense and mystery, wrapped up in a steamy sexy romance.
Oleg
Ancient. Powerful. Demanding.
I would go to the dark side for him - don't even need the cookies
He comes across as such a grump most of the time.
Tatyana was easily able to tame the grouchy while at the same time provoking it.
The back-and-forth between them is hilarious.
I don't think she means to come across as stubborn or headstrong but Oh does Oleg love that about her.
He can also be a bit aloof at times, out of touch which does cause some misunderstandings between them.
However, when it comes to his desires?
He is all touch and hands-on.
As for the aloof part that is just him holding himself together so he doesn't burn the world to the ground.
And no, that is not a metaphor lol
"If Tatyana's brain had been a computer, there would have been a spinning disk in her eyes."
Tatyana was such a great match for him. She didnt fear him. Yeah, she didnt know what he was but even after he "revealed" himself it just took her a couple of days to come to terms with it.
Her mind was always analyzing, puzzling, and crafting all scenarios
Her ability to fake it till you make it and have others believe it was amazing
I am serious she might get knocked out of orbit occasionally but she always came back stronger
At times her empathy made her a bit of a doormat - Don't judge so quickly. She is about to become a force of nature that will rock your world.
These two are brought together under a touch of duress, a little persuasion, and some light-forced captivity. Fine Tatyana was brought into Oleg's world but either way, they were stuck with each other.
I enjoyed the way they clicked though.
The friction between them, the constant draw to one another
Holy Hades!!
I could go on forever - A lot of fun great supporting characters as well
Her mom... It gets better with her
Zara? Well can't spoil the little chits surprise
Mika, Oleg's constant companion and a power in his own right. I liked his character a lot!
Elene, his ex-mistress and the one person he trusts with his assets
Grimmace! Don't want to forget him
And so many more
Again this was a well-woven storyline that balanced the history, the mystery, and the romance (lots of heat) so well
Plenty of little twists, like parentage (not telling) that kept me guessing and turning pages. Highly intense action scenes that had me gripping my reader.
I am excited for book two
