If you have yet to read book one, or it's been a while I highly recommend starting over to guarantee you get the full experience.
The storyline is intense with a vast collection of characters and side stories

There is a lot of edge-of-your-seat suspense
Multiple scenes when our band of saviors are barely surviving the evil thrown at them
Friends become foes and the price of their betrayal is high
Some HADES YES! moments blended in with OMG NO! ones
No, I am not spoiling!

"His fingers sliding into the spaces between his spread ones. A perfect fit. Like their bodies, like their souls"
One of those love stories for the history books.
It was an accident, and destiny at the same time
They filled each other's empty places so well <3
Paris deserved happiness after everything he has faced.
Mac, the current Reaper for his clan, soaked up the peace Paris offered him
Two broken souls that found second chances in each other

One of the hard-to-like characters for me was Robin but if you look past the blustering and snide comments you will see the hurt, the loneliness the real Robin
Robin's story is next I am excited to see how he comes to terms with what really happened and what he believes happened
The identity of "She" is revealed in this book as well as some pretty surprise connections between the characters

Like the first book, the story has ups and downs. The cast is vivid with a storyline that engages and keeps the reader guessing
Some moments will lead to blurry eyes - don't give up hope

If you enjoy high heat mm romance, and urban fantasy with plenty of action and suspense this is a series for you
