It took a few chapters for me to get into the story
It felt a tad chaotic in the beginning.
Once I got past the initial few chapters I had a pretty solid foundation for the story
as well as introductions to the major players and their roles
At this point, I was hooked
"Sometimes it feels like we're all just trying to hold on to something. Family, loyalty, love..."
This the first book in the duet mostly from Isaac's perspective though we also get Dallas' perspective
This was a slow build, high-tension read
Packed with suspense, twists, betrayals, as well as some graphic violence.
The tension between our couple - worth the wait
"And when you realize you've let someone down, someone who relied on you, it's hard to shake that guilt"
Dallas goes undercover in Isaac's organization with the intent of bringing them down
However, he did not foresee how important Isaac would become to him nor did he foresee that the dossier he was given was missing some very important pieces
Now he must make a choice
Black and White or slightly Grey
This is a duet. The story continues in the second book from Dallas' perspective
