📘Book Info
Aiden

Everything in Aiden Sullivan’s career has brought him to this moment.

New job. New city. New company.

As the youngest V.P. in Appeal Media’s history, he’s got a lot to prove—there’s no room for error.

Getting involved with an employee would be a mistake. Getting involved with Abigail Summers would be a disaster.

She’s too young. Too sweet. Worst of all, she’s his new executive assistant.

This relationship has the word “forbidden” written all over it.

He didn’t leave his tight-knit family behind in L.A. just to destroy his career. But Aiden can’t stop thinking about the curvy, lavender-haired woman who sits outside his office door every day.

Except one forbidden moment leads to more. And Aiden finds it impossible to push their relationship back into professional territory.

When reality comes knocking, and the price of their choices must be paid, can Aiden afford to follow his heart without giving up everything he’s worked for?

Abbie

When the combination of her best friend, an ordinary staff meeting and an iced coffee result in an unexpected promotion, Abigail Summers finds her quiet, safe existence turned upside down

New job. New office. New boss.

Change is Abbie’s nightmare. Anxiety is a part of her daily reality. She longs to be free of the self-doubt that holds her back from living life to its fullest.

Keeping the status quo helps her feel in control of her world. Her entry-level job, her best friends, her cat, and her books are all she needs.

Until the handsome, older Aiden Sullivan unravels her carefully crafted life.

Dating the boss is a catastrophe waiting to happen. So why can’t she get Aiden out of her head?

💭Our Thoughts
This was sweet, spicy, at times angsty romance that was just a whole lot of fun to read
Easy-to-follow storyline with vivid characters that I resonated with on so many levels
Banter - Humor - Heartache - Smexy
Some events were easy to foresee but the way the resolutions were believable

Abbie was a walking ball of "what ifs" and the author did a great job of allowing me to feel and be a part of each scenario without it weighing me down - if that makes sense
And her BFF - Every girl needs that kind of support in her corner
I enjoyed watching Abbie grow, even though some of the baby steps were forced she did it. And yeah, I was pretty darn proud of her

Aiden had spent his childhood sacrificing and caring for his family and he had no intention of not continuing to do so. Nothing and no one would get in the way of ensuring his position and in turn his family's happiness.
Except maybe the ray of sunshine that brightened his every day

These two complimented each other so well.
The scene at the convention.
How Aiden played along with Abbie's costume choices.
The diner
Just so many little moments that together added so much to their romance
