💭Our Thoughts
This was a smoldering romance that delivered on its title.
(You knew I wouldn't be able to avoid the pun)
Shay masterfully weaves together the adrenaline-pumping world of firefighting with the combustion that is Carson and Grace
Carson has always been a bit guarded even with his men.
Until Grace
His complete opposite in every way imaginable
She's slightly reserved, honest to a fault, and out to save the world
He's...
Well none of that
But for some reason, he can't walk away
This was a slow-build, high-heat romance that packs an emotional punch
The friction between these two - HoLy HaDeS
I loved the way these two interacted the back and forth
The insecurities. The little challenges.
How for once Carson was at a loss as to how to proceed
From hot shot to hot not
This is the final book in the Brothers of Fire series but it can be read as a standalone. However, reading the previous books will give you a richer understanding of the characters and their relationships.
