We pick up with Sophia sitting in a cell charged with a murder she didn't commit.
Charges that just might get her that orange jumpsuit
Someone is using her in a game of revenge - or maybe that is someone(s)?
Damon is trying to protect her and get answers but Sophia is very reluctant to tell him the truth about that night
How can he protect her when she won't trust him?
I liked the twist to the reveal of who was behind the murder. I also enjoyed a cameo from a certain bad 'backside' Russian assassin and her link to everything. We get some more clarification on the evil beings that are Sophia's parents.
At times these two each tried my patience to a new level. Damon was trying though. Relationships, and love, both were new experiences for him. And our sassy bratty Sophia wasn't making it easy. However, she was walking her own learning curve learning trusting her Dom, and giving all of herself into the care of another.
This has all the suspense, the mystery, the over-possessive Dom, his very bratty girl, hades level steam. I am excited to see how, if, these two find their happy medium.
