💭Our Thoughts

I admit, during the first couple of chapters, I wasn't so sure if this would be for me.

Zaira came across as just a bit too “naive” to be able to save anyone, including herself.

I was curious how she stayed alive this long.

However

Once Thane entered the picture, there was no turning back.

And never fear, our innocent girl blossoms into a heroine who can hold her own

This was packed with peril, action, and adventure.

Every page was a new obstacle for Zaira and her “friends.”

Each offering a very different “flavor” to the quest.

At times, I wasn't sure how they were going to survive 😉

But never underestimate the power of a found family.

The slow build between Zaira and Thane felt natural.

Thane was more reserved, but the way he cared for her, the little things

I really enjoyed the connection between them

There are some darker moments, as well as a sense of foreboding that floats just off the page.

Even during the more comedic moments - and there are a lot -

Lots of humor

Plenty of banter

All wrapped in a slow-burning spicy romantasy

I admit there were times I would have liked more character background

Maybe more of a foundation for certain events
