I was sixteen when I found out not only am I an alien hybrid, but monsters called the Tai-Kok were getting ready to invade our world. Guess who gets to stop them? Me. How?

My uncle, the mad scientist, created a machine called the portal that instantaneously sends a test subject from one location to another by converting them into energy. His idea is to port me onto a Tai-Kok ship. All I have to do is leave a bomb, hit the retrieval button on my spiffy traveler’s belt and poof! I’m back on Earth before the Tai-Kok ship goes kaboom. Sounds simple, right?

Wrong. Uncle Ben doesn’t have a clue where I’ll actually appear on the ship. It could be the engine room, the crew quarters, or even the bridge. It’s like playing Russian roulette. The Tai-Kok don’t like surprises or uninvited guests.

To make things even more fun, I have an alien battle commander stuck in my head and I’m related to a powerful Coletti warlord. Yippee. The chances of me living to see eighteen aren’t good.

The beginning of feisty Earth women and their oh-so-grumpy growly Coletti warriors finding each other and falling head over heels in love - most of the time

Oh, and the beginning of “Cops in Space.”

Long before the Coletti’s arrived on Earth, a very brave and fierce young lass (that would be our heroine Lexi) was commissioned into her Uncle’s bizarre plan to save Earth from becoming an all-you-can-eat buffet for an alien race.

Originally, Lexi was not too keen on the idea. But when she got her first taste of the mayhem she could deliver, well, her booty-kicking no-ducks-given side awoke fully, and indulged in every boom-boom blast she could.

During one of those excursions (for lack of a better descriptor), she landed herself in the lap of one very big, very handsome, and very angry Coletti Warrior (her uncle was still working on getting the "landing" coordinates right, but he was getting better).

A Coletti warlord who would eventually become her partner and mate.

Once he found her, that is.

Until then, she (with the psychic help of Kaelen, her Coletti warrior) and her family and friends would do their best to keep the people of Earth alive.

This is one of those series I highly recommend.

Great characters. Adventurous storylines. Fiesty heroines. Suspense. Mayhem. Lots and lots of humour. Sweet romance. More mayhem.
