I fell into this series with Cherising Grier.
This is one of those romances where absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Grier was not looking for a one-night stand, but with the right combo of alcohol, the warm feels from a wedding, and one very handsome older man.
Anything was on the table.
What began as a thirst-quenching moment turned into a whole lot more.
Grier believed it was going somewhere until Elijah, not so kindly, cleared up her misconception.
She was left a little more jaded with a few more cracks.
Don't fret, though, our girl just needed some time to reevaluate and throw a small pity party, then she was back in the spotlight and doing what was best for her.

So many times I wanted to pelt Elijah with a snowball or two. That man really needed to wake up!!
Better late than never, I guess
I did enjoy how he respected Grier’s need for space. He knew he had messed up.
Gotta admit, he and his buddy came up with the perfect plan to reintroduce himself into Grier’s world

Davide: His supporting character brought a great deal to this story.
And yes, my TBR pile is now a bit bigger, lol.
