Earth sucks for women and our heroine Melody is just barely surviving on the planet when an opportunity arises for a chance at happiness

Sure it is light-years away on another planet

And yeah, they are another species but they are compatible

A girls gotta grab that brass ring when the chance arises 

Make her own happy ever after

Hunter doesn't want a mate. He has a dangerous job that would put a partner at risk. He firmly does not believe in the affinity pulse. The idea that there is a woman crafted by fate just for him is ridiculous

That is until Melody

Oh how the mighty have bent the knee

This was a high heat - they can't keep their appendages off each other kind of heat - scifi romance. 

Easy-on-the-emotions, candy-sweet, make-you-smile wrapped up in a happily ever after 

Perfect for a beach read, when you need to lighten up, or as a  pallet cleanse after a high-angst read

Just a little side note this was my first read in this series and it was easy to follow but I suggest starting at the beginning of the series if you can.
