You are going to want to experience every "Oh hell no you didn't" moment for yourself so if you are a review reader before you decide - be careful
So our Oz was tasked with getting information from a certain gal, Winslet.
Not his usual assignment but this mess was his fault in so many ways, so he really couldn't argue.
Just from looking at her picture, he could tell she would be materialistic and easy to break. This wouldn't take long
He was no stranger to sexy women using their wiles to get away with just about everything.
And he was ready for it.
What he wasn't ready for?
Winslet
A gal who had no issues with rough treatment.
Who didn't break under his harsh conditions.
Who made him question his methods of information extraction.
His newest obsession
"that would have broken her, and I didnt like to see beautiful things broken"
I can not rave enough about how much I enjoyed these two!!
The way Oz just kept digging himself deeper into stalker territory when it came to her
Heart melt <3
"standing in the shadows of your life wasn't enough anymore."
I was waiting to see how this was going to play out, and I was not disappointed. Our sweet Winslet did not just accept and forget. She took the time to process and weigh each sin.
The way Glines played this out - even my teddy had a moment
There were some twists that I did not see coming
One was a soul-shredding revelation
A response (I'm trying not to spoil) I thought was a betrayal turned out to be a whole lot more
There were some great comeuppance moments - a bunch of prudes got their justice
The ex...... ewww girl what were you thinking that boy was all brawn and no brain
Some of my favorite moments in no certain order:
"I got you"
I need a hug!!!
This moment ...
Oz may have won my heart here as well as brought those pesky tears pool in my eyes
"I had my defenses ready to go, and God help if she tried to shut me out. Abduction round two was not out of the questions"
"I was never going to be the same. Not after Oz."

"This is a lot of destruction you're about to rain down on numerous people because they made Winslet cry"

A must-read series
Glines does a great job of bringing her characters to life in stories that draw the reader in and keep them engaged and guessing from the first page to the last.
