Synopsis

Dionysus Kostanidis. CEO. Widower. Relentless. A man who doesn't give second chances.

I approached him through a lie. Our attraction for each other was overwhelming. I fell in love with the man who was forbidden to me. He will never forgive me when he knows the whole truth.

He is a Greek tycoon and a single dad.

She is the nanny his son adores.

Dionysus Kostanidis doesn’t know the meaning of forgiveness.

Cecily will do whatever it takes to keep her promise, even if it means staying away forever from the man she loves. Dionysus Kostanidis, tycoon from a family of bankers and CEO of the largest telecommunications company in North America, like his brothers, is ruthless in every aspect of his life.

The single dad is determined to remain a widower, not out of love for his late wife, but because marriage is not in his plans.

The Greek man can have any woman he wants with the snap of his fingers, so why tie himself down again?

Harper Cecily Bradley, or Cici, as she prefers to be called, is an innocent woman from Kansas who arrives in New York with a mission. When her plans go awry, she takes a drastic step that will forever change the course of her life and place her directly in the billionaire’s path.

For Dionysus, having his son’s nanny is just another seduction game, like so many others he has played throughout his life. For the inexperienced young woman, being in the Greek’s arms is her idea of paradise, even though she knows he is forbidden.

However, when they both decide to give in to their passion, they know they are destined for each other.

But Cici is hiding a secret that, if discovered, could make the man of her dreams hate her.

"Oh my God! I'm sorry I'm dressed like this, Mr. Dionysus. I forgot to charge the extra baby monitor. I didn't know you had already arrived," Cecily says, trying to cover herself.

It's not fast enough, because I can map her entire body through the thin nightgown. I feel myself stiffening, my dick heavy with lust.

I should let her go, but seeing her embarrassment and, at the same time, remembering what happened yesterday, makes me break the promise I made to myself to keep everything on a professional level.

"Stop."

Although she was about to enter her room again, she halts, her back to me.

I walk over to where she is but stop before I invade her personal space. "Why are you so scared, Cecily? You're not naked, just in a nightgown."

She turns slowly until we are face-to-face. "I shouldn't let you see me like this, sir," she says, her face flushed.

Despite what I said, I'm tense too. I prepared myself to keep everything under control, never crossing the barrier between employer and employee again. As I told her, I have never had a relationship with anyone who received payment from me.

"How was your day?" I ask.

"Good."

I can tell she's trying not to show that she remembers yesterday, but I know she does. Cecily's blue eyes give her away completely, as does the way her chest rises and falls with short breaths.

She swallows hard because, virgin or not, she knows what I'm thinking as I stare at her. I watch the movement in her delicate neck, and I need every ounce of my self-control to not take another step forward and feel her silky skin with my fingers.

"Just good? That doesn't sound like a professional report." Yes, I'm provoking her on purpose. Anything is better than having her staring at me with the same hunger I feel.

"I thought you knew everything that goes on here. Didn't you ask your employees to watch me?"

"Of course. As I told you, you are taking care of my most precious asset. I will closely follow your every step."

"I don't care," she replies, rebelliously. "I love your son, and I will take care of him with all my love. Besides, if I were you, I would do the same. Now, if you'll excuse me . . ."

"I don't excuse you."

"What?"

"I want to know why you didn't have the spare baby monitor ready. You can't make that kind of mistake, Cecily."

"I know, and I'm sorry, Mr.—"

"I don't want you to call me that. Just Dionysus."

"Your employees call you Mr. Kostanidis."

"Because I don't give them the freedom to do different."

"Then why are you authorizing me?"

"Because I can and I want to."

"I don't think it's right, but if that's what you want . . ."

"That's what I want. Now, I need you to understand that you can no longer make this kind of mistake, Cecily."

She seems embarrassed, and I feel bad, but this is about taking care of my son.

"It won't happen again. Excuse me. I'm going to change my clothes."

"Never been to a beach?" I ask, still not wanting to let her go, no matter how much I know it's the right thing to do.

"What?"

"You look like a Victorian-era lady, embarrassed to show a little skin."

I see her temper emerge, and I am pleased. I don't respect subservient people. I like to see the real person inside.

"I've never been on a beach with someone I worked for. It's inappropriate to be half-naked in front of you, especially when . . ." She stops talking, her face as red as a ripe apple.

"Especially when what?"

She shakes her head, refusing to answer me.

"Tell me, Cecily."

"Why are you trying to embarrass me?"

"I'm not, but I like honesty."

"In our case, it's dangerous. We are boss and employee."

She's right, but I want to hear what she didn't tell me.

"Say it."

"What if it costs me my job?"

"How could I do that to you when I'm the one demanding to know your thoughts?"

Cecily takes a deep breath. "Yesterday you told me that when I went to bed, I should remember what happened at the party, at Elina's house. I . . . obeyed you."

Fuck!

I fight an internal battle between reason and desire.

It would be too easy to close the distance between our bodies and give us what we both want, much more so now, with the sensual sight of Cecily in her bed at night, touching herself and thinking about me.

I can still feel the warmth and softness of her body. The small, curious fingers touching my flesh.

I desire her like I have never desired any woman. A primitive and dominant hunger, in a territory where logic gives way to lust.

I get closer but without touching her. "Did you come?"

"You can't ask me that. You said you’ve never had a relationship with an employee."

"And I haven’t. However, I'm not having a relationship with you right now, Cecily. I'm asking if you came nicely when you touched your pussy thinking about me."

"So those are the rules? We can talk as long as we don't touch?"

It would be reckless and also something I have never experienced.

Theoretical is not my thing. I like to touch, lick, suck. But Cecily has just opened up a very tempting possibility, and images of her moaning with her hand between her thighs, touching herself for me, play out like a movie in my mind.

My cock feels like steel, pushing against my suit pants, and I know what I'm going to say now will be a watershed moment between us.

"Yes, we can talk."

"And you promise you won't touch me?"

"You have my word that I will never touch you against your will."

"I don't want you to."

"Liar. You want this as much as I do. Now, answer my question: did you come yesterday?"

She looks at the floor. "I think so."

"Think?"

"I'm not sure. I don't know what it's like to have an orgasm."

"If you don't know, it's because you’ve never had one."

And now I've just become obsessed with giving her her first.

"I answered your question. Now, I'm going to get dressed so I can grab the extra baby monitor. I will never make that mistake again, Mr . . . um . . . Dionysus."

She runs into her room, and I run both hands over my face, trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with me, while at the same time thinking about all the possible consequences of taking Cecily to bed.

The only conclusion I can come to is that the moment I do that, I will have to permanently exclude her from my life.

It's only ever going to happen once.
