📘Book Info

From USA Today Bestselling Author K Webster comes a post-apocalyptic, ruined-Earth survival thriller featuring LGBTQ+ heroes who must ban together, despite their differences, to not only adapt to the new, destroyed world, but find safety in it.

A cataclysmic, city-destroying tsunami crashes its way through San Francisco and it’s not looking to recede anytime soon…

Relentless waves and terrifying rises of flood waters. People stranded in the tops of the highest buildings. No hope for rescue.
Ever.

Kellen Bennett has lived his entire life in deep-seeded fear. But, in the face of human extinction, he can finally become the man he always wanted to be. Brave.

Being the CEO of his company, Kellen feels responsible for those who are stranded in his building and is willing to do whatever it takes to look after them until help arrives.

Tyler Walsh, a food deliveryman, finds himself stranded with an arrogant businessman and a floor full of scared people. He doesn’t want to wait to be rescued. His family is out there somewhere, and he’ll swim across the entire Pacific Ocean if that means getting to them.

He may only be eighteen, but Tyler has more street smarts than all the survivors he’s stuck with combined, which means he can’t leave them to their own devices, or they’ll all die.

With unmanned ships crashing into buildings, strange weather outbursts at every turn, and people losing their minds to fear of the unknown, Kellen and Tyler must team up to devise a plan to rescue themselves and those around them.

But Earth is furious, throwing a tantrum of epic proportions.
As the weather events multiply and increase in violent nature, they realize time is quickly running out.

They have to get off the building and onto dry land before their only source of protection crumbles into the wicked, monstrous sea.

If there’s any land left standing that is…

💭Our Thoughts

"The whole world can't be this way. It can't."

Intense
Scary as frack
Edge-of-your-seat suspense
Page after Page of "holy shitzu" and "OMFG" moments
I jest you not I was constantly yelping, gasping, swearing, and even fell an occasional silent tear
We faced the lowest of the low in our trek for survival
We met others like us who only wanted to be safe
We became a family, who, together would fight to survive
And amidst all the destruction and loss...
We found hope
(I say we because I was there, I truly felt a part of our group of survivors)

From the beginning to the end Waves of Fury kept me engaged
It was a bit frightening how relatable the storyline and the characters were.
It is such a magnificently crafted story with vivid characters and believable events and responses
And let's talk about Tyler and Kellen
Their bond was crafted under duress, but the way it developed,
was practically perfect.
The little things that occurred between them, the hand touching, the smiles, the little " I got you's" just made it that much more genuine
I appreciated how Tyler took the lead, and despite the age difference Kellen was man enough to let him. It was easy to forget the class and age difference between them

This was a dual POV. Some scenes might be triggers; it is an end-of-the-world event, and we all know how dangerous our species can be.
Again I can not rant enough about the cast, the events, the overall story
Highly recommend
