Which one will burn...

Icarus and the Devil by Layla Reyne is now live!

My name is Icarus for a reason.
If there's a way to screw up a plan, I'm your man.

Case in point:
Falling for the man I'm supposed to seduce and ferry to his death.
Adam Devlin, aka the Devil.
A vigilante ex-cop and a thorn in the side of the mobster blackmailing me.
Should be easy.
Except Adam's longing for intimacy—for submission—is irresistible.
Seduce him, yes. Lead him to his death, world of no.

There's only one solution to save us both: kidnap the Devil.
I mentioned my name is Icarus, right?
Three guesses how this plan will go.
Bet you only need one.

Icarus and the Devil is a steamy M/M paranormal romantic suspense novel. It features two danger-magnet men trying to stay alive and failing to stay away from each other. Chaos ensues on their way to happily ever after.

The author did a fabulous job of drawing me into this story - Everything was just as much a mystery to me as it was for Iccarus. We got little pieces of the puzzle here and there, lots of misleading breadcrumb trails, and an occasional Bingo!
But the pieces don't begin to make a complete picture until near the end
Even then there is more to the puzzle

We have multiple factions with their own agendas, some interlinking with others
We have betrayals
We have some seriously nasty bad guys
Lots of suspense, the breath-holding, heart pounding twisty kind
All dotted with plenty of hot-as-hades romance - I enjoyed the build between these two. The pure animalistic draw they felt for each other.
The way the emotional connection developed between them
All of that and a few sprinkles of angst
Of which one, I'm hoping he is wrong, and book two fixes my heart - it's not Iccarus or the Devil but...

A solid start to the series - Full length - lots of action and suspense - plenty of hot as hades steam

You go in blind - think of eating an exquisite meal then having to recreate it from just the taste -
Which for me made the suspense and reveals twice as heart-stopping
Looking forward to the next in series
