The Kershaw family has been removed from their comfy high rises, their cushy jobs, and their cavier lunches, and plopped down into the small town of Heartwood.
From CEO, Surgeon, and Socialite to farmer, barista, and bartender.
And it looks like they are there for the long haul

Drake had been unfulfilled with his lifestyle, and his career for so long that Wren, Milo, heck the whole small town feel was a breath of new life for him.
Now if he could get the Doc to let him work at the clinic instead of slinging dung at the ranch his world would be right.

Wren was weary of letting strangers in. She had her own past that she kept locked away; she knew the town's new residents were hiding which just gave her added cause to say no.
But something about Drake just smashed those excuses to smithereens

This was such a fun read.
Wren and Drake just fit -
The way their relationship developed. The easy banter. The chemistry.
When you add the supporting cast
The estranged family that is now forced to act buddy-buddy
The besties that are there at the drop of a margarita with shovels in hand
The town gossips who don't always get it right
The past(s) that seems to find you no matter how far you run
