Yes this is the second in a trilogy and it ends on IMO a betrayal but do not hesitate as the final book is just around the corner 

Shot Taker is the second book in the King of the Court series, and it picks up right where Game Changer left off. 

Nova is trying to focus on her career, but she can't help but think about Clay. She's still hurt by the way he broke up with her, but she can't deny that she still loves him.

Clay is also struggling to move on. 

When Nova returns to Denver for work, they are forced to face each other again.

Clay has always known that he made a mistake and now her proximity just drives that point home. He isn't sure how to fix it but he's determined to win Nova back. 

Nova is guarded, and she's not sure if she can trust him again. She's still hurt by the way he broke up with her, but she can't deny that she still loves him.

After the way he left and the words in his letter can you blame her? He has a lot to prove, and he must show Nova that he has changed. 

This has all the steamy, suspenseful, and heartwarming moments you would expect. I was so mad at some of the family and friends at times.  Her relationship with her sister still bothers me though it is getting better. 

I just need book three so I can find out who needs to be benched for this most dastardly deed
