This was almost a sweet romance - Don't get me wrong it has all the danger, suspense, backstabbing, and "OMG" moments you expect from a Syndicate romance
Two opposing factions - A missing person - Some very icky villains that had my hackles up - Secrets - lots of those - Betrayals - Romance
Solid secondary cast - Enzo had me laughing with his antics
When it came to Tia and Mason there was a natural chemistry between them. The ease of their banter. The acknowledgment of their feelings and the inner turmoil it brought. They were the perfect polar opposites
Smoke was hard-shelled and slightly crispy on the outside but when it came to Tia - He was a marshmallow mess
And Tia - she showed no fear to the icy blue-eyed man.
She gave as good as she got.
There were occasions her age and innocence were front and center
But that was part of the overall sweetness - Mason, despite being a man to be feared, respected that and it showed - Yes a few times his darkness took over but Tia was able to balance it
The way Enzo riled up Smoke every chance he got - Smokes denial of his feelings
There were some twists that I did not see coming others I foresaw
There also were a couple of times I felt it slowed a bit
I am definitely moving on to Enzo's story which was highlighted at the end of Debt
