"Then I surrender"
I love this seriesThese characters
Their friendships
Their relatable trials
The sweetest smexiest most adorable, all the cuddles romances
Felix and Emery have been best buds since grade school
Both have feelings beyond friendship and both have kept those feelings locked down tight
Their friendship was too perfect to risk losing the other if things went sideways
But love will always find a way
Aislin does not disappoint - This had all the warmth and cuddles that I enjoy in my romances with an easy-to-follow and fall-into storyline that hits all the right notes
Em and Fe were perfectly matched for each other. They felt natural together making the friends-to-lovers transition flawless. They talked to each other, listened beyond the words that were said, and went that little extra to ensure the comfort and happiness of the other
(wait till you see what Em does for Fe... Heart melt!!)
A solid supporting cast that adds so much to the story
One of my favorite series

Prodigal Son by Lydia Michaels
📔Bestselling author, Lydia Michaels, weaves a ferociously addictive tale of immortal hunger, lust, and noble sacrifice in the haunting continuation of The Order of Vampires series.

Finally Cain's storyThis starts out with a breath-stealing scene that put me on edge wondering how the hades he was going to get out of this
and honestly kept me there throughout the book
I felt for Cain -
I wanted to thump some common sense into Destiny though I admit I liked her boundless sense of "I got this"
I thought King would mellow a bit but he is still an obstinate "my way only" gas bag (yeah I love him but I also enjoy the moments he gets his due)
Adam needs to step back a bit. He had my hackles up so many times
Dude Cain gave you everything...
Destiny is just trouble in a skin suit - I am serious - That girl just can't keep herself out of it
When she finds herself in the woods, face to face with an unknown
She does what any unhinged frightened lass would do
She squeezes the trigger
Only maybe she should have thought this one out
Cain is torn - He finds himself drawn to this stranger yet he can not find her in his dreams
Can he claim her as his love knowing she may not be his destined?
This is the third book in the series and NOT a standalone
While each book highlights a specific couple it also continues to build on the overall storyline and the race to stop a madman

The Demon Lord of California by Bennu Bright
📔A Slow Burn Meet Cute!
Baker. Wizard. God of Space and Time. Cupcake enthusiast. How long will it take to fan the flames and enrage this gentle phoenix? Start counting.

Great start to the seriesThis ends on a "we will be happy someday" scene it is not a cliffhanger more a lead into the next book
I don't want to spoil anything but I am excited to see where we go next
The author introduces us to the different creations/characters while setting the foundation for the series
It takes place in a recency-type era on early earth
Our cast is a mix of different worlds/dimensions - We have everything from Angels to Mythological beings - One of the things I truly enjoyed about this read was the mix of "races"
For me the supporting cast was just as important as our two main characters - I felt like the overall story was the primary focus and their relationship took second place.
Plenty of action and suspense some even drew out loud "OMG NO" others I just held my breath and held on hoping all would work out
Agustin needed to make a choice - personally, I would have dumped pops a long time ago. Nothing was worth what that being put him through.
Lots of light humor - Calico was a mess - both future and present - you'll see.
Some angst moments that drew those little tears
And a slow-build romance that was sweeter than a cinnamon roll
I do wish some scenes had a bit more detail and others less - if that makes sense. The ending was more like a beginning

Irresistibly Broken by J. Saman
This is a new author for me -
One who is now on my one-click list
This was such a fabulous read - I read cover to cover in one sitting
Great cast
A solid storyline that kept me engaged
"You're just so much fun to rile up. Like playing with an irritable bear after hibernation."
Zaxton didn't have a chance in hades of surviving the storm that was Aurelia
"I am my own hero. Scars are simply souvenirs you collect along the way."
Aurelia has no flips left to give.
She started at the bottom and has been drug through the mud and sleaze that is the modeling world.
Never once giving in or giving up
Now the time has come to grasp that ring - On her terms
May the goddess have mercy on anyone who gets in her way
From the opening scene, their story was complete chaos
It has been a long time since I fell so hard
Aurelia was headstrong, and lacked a brain-to-mouth filter at times but dang if she didn't have me laughing
Zaxton was grumpy, slightly broken, and all kinds of hunka-hunka
These two made me laugh. At times had me battling my inner child not to peek ahead. Even drew a couple of those silent tears.
Highly recommend this one
I can not wait for Grayson's story
Forgotten Storm by A.R. Vagnetti
High Heat - Lots of Smexy Moments - Some questionable partner choices - Crimson-coated violence - Abusive past- etc
Most were not gratuitous (except the smexy, lots of Smexy) they were an important part of the plot and overall tone
A fantastic cast of characters that I quickly either loved or loathed -
I did find myself a bit perturbed with Nicole on occasion. However, I had to give the gal some slack because if I opened my front door and suddenly found my "dream man" alive and making the same claims that Logan made - I probably would have done a lot more than flee.
Logan was such a solid mate for Nicole. Caring and honest though he did have that Alpha mentality at times - It wasn't often but there were a few times I would have liked to "redirect" him
The secondary cast was just as front and center as our main characters
Bringing a bit of strife, a whole lot of humor, and the occasional plot twist to the story
This was fast-paced for the most part - There were some areas that for me dragged the story just a touch but they were few
I am looking forward to the next in the series
Good Girl Fail by Roni Loren
The chemistry between our little trio was off the charts hades kinda hot
The way their relationship developed
The simple moments between them that became so much more
High Heat - Humorous at times - Emotional - Solid story with great characters
O'Neal was raised in a tightly run home that held religion and its beliefs(?) above all else. Which left her pretty much in the dark when it came to real-world experiences but when it came to relationships she was completely lost
She wasn't naive to her innocence or how the world worked- She just lacked practical experience. But that could easily be remedied thanks to her besties brother and his roommate-
She had a safe place to ask questions and explore
And Wowza did she explore
I loved this throuple - they clicked together so easily.
The way the author developed their relationship felt natural.
The back-and-forth banter. The patience they showed to her as she explored what she liked
The praise ;)
I was not happy with the grandparents' response to her wanting to forge a life of her own and I had my own thoughts as to where they needed to go

Forgotten Storm by A.R. Vagnetti
📔How many years did I drag my ass from one small town to another, singing and bartending to make ends meet? I've lost count. As a matter of fact, I lost every memory of my life before the age of seventeen. And that's not even the weirdest part. At night, in my dreams, I'm guided by a drop-dead gorgeous, panty-wetting fantasy who makes my body sing and claims to be my Guardian.
