Dayna was returning home to Dupont Beach after a couple of years at university
Aidan was being "reprimanded" by being sent to Dupont Beach for the summer
Both were a little lost
Such an easy read - Their relationship development felt real
No excessive back and forth, no misdirection
Sure I wish it was longer
I definitely wanted more
But that's only because the characters were so easy to fall in love with
I am excited about the series - Ice Burn gives a quick intro to some of the characters enough to get your curiosity peaked and a possible lead into the next storyline

I almost set this down - Don't judge till I explain Truly You opens as what one would believe is a fast-paced lust-driven romance...
Iskander and Siobhan are at full throttle from the moment they cross paths and it works to a degree
I don't know if it was the intensity of their encounters (ice bath is my first thought)
or what an absolute horses backside Iskander was (never fear he eventually redeems himself)
I knew there was more behind the steamy veil and that eventually, I would find myself captivated and lost in a relationship that was not a relationship ;)
And wow I was not disappointed
This had laughter, personal growth, family, friendship angst, smexy moments, and the hardest won HEA.
Iskander was once again being "guilted" into commandeering his siblings and now found himself in Luna Harbor - the last place he wanted to be
But luck was on his side because he found himself a stranger with benefits that matched him perfectly
No questions - No strings - No emotions
Until she was no more

It took a few chapters for me to get fully engaged in the story and its characters - once I was however - I read straight through- even fought not to peek ahead - I may have lost that battle but ...There is so much to this universe and such diversity when it comes to the fae and their origins. The characters were simple yet complex in their pasts and what was driving them.
I felt like it should have been a duet - not sure that was me being greedy or impatient to get my answers as the series unfolds
And do I have questions?
Kai's dad - Kai's curse - the stones - the siblings - the original laws - the land- and that is just for starters
I acknowledge that first in series don't always answer all my questions - they usually set foundations, introduce characters, set tones, and build storylines as well as leave trails for future plots - which this did very well
Packed with action, betrayal, growth, and romance
I am looking forward to the next in series

Watching her put the pieces together though?
That moment when everything clicked into place?
Priceless?
Kind of rooting for Rush here ;)
This goes back and forth using letters and memories to strengthen our understanding of both characters and their connection to each other.
There are some seriously messed-up revelations.
Some heart-stopping "OMG" moments.
All peppered with little hints and clues scattered about like a breadcrumb trail leading me to believe nothing is as someone believes.
This first in the duet set up the tone for the finale' IMO -
slow to build with an explosive lead into what you know is going to be one dark and psychologically slippery ride
