"What do you want?"From the first page, this one had me curious and kept me flipping pages.
It can get a bit chaotic at times but the misdirection will make sense as the story progresses. It also plays a little outside of reality with some scenes and responses but they fit in this tale of twisted love and deception.
Nothing is as black and white as it seems and no one is to be trusted.
A warning as it also contains some events that may not be for everyone
But if you are willing to take the risk like Destiny...

Plenty of mean ol' antagonists
Palpable sexual tension between our main characters that at times had me wanting to lock them in a room until they figure it out
And a cliffy that will have you counting the minutes to the next release

I had a bit of a love/hate thing going with Whitney - I understood (most of the time) where she was coming from however at times I questioned her sanity and her choices
It could have been her past experiences - it could have been the hormones...
Thank goodness Ryan had his head on straight -
The first night excluded - because that was all kinds of red flags -
He knew what he wanted and did not let anything or anyone - Whitney included - stop him
He was perfect for Whitney in so many ways and just the balm her soul needed to heal and feel whole again
Overall I enjoyed the read and felt that Renegade solidly set up the series and the cast. There were scenes that I felt played just a little outside of plausibility but that is a me thing. I am looking forward to the next in series

I don't want to give anything away ... I wouldn't want you to miss the absolute fun and confusion that was Morgan guiding our two H's through the ins and out of dating and well 🤔 the art of intimacy?
I was lost for the first half of the book as to what Zac and Aiden might possibly be - yes I get they are shifters not helping me🤦🏽! Not to mention what seemed to be the running plotline for the series. I got frustrated a couple of times because I wanted the answers and I was battling myself not to peek ahead to get them. It was worth waiting for! At about 46% the story takes off and the pieces begin to fall into place. Morgan was a hoot -I do not know how else to describe her. Her inner monologues at times had me rolling. Her character has a heart ten times too big and at times it seemed to be her Achilles heel.
Watching her navigate this new reality was entertaining in itself.
I had to remind myself that this was fiction. There are some (fine a lot) scenes that are a bit out of this realm⁉️ Even with the heightened sense of fantasy in the overall tone. I couldn't help but fall in love with Aiden and Zac as well as the rest of the guys in the cadre. There was just something to their "eagerness" and just the whole group of guys overall. They were at times lacking that very important brain-to-mouth filter that most human men have amazed they survived as long as they have. 🤭
Once the sparks get flying this was a very entertaining and engaging read
I am really looking forward to the next in series.

He is always in control of his environment. The protector to his siblings - Able to maneuver the world to meet his needs -
Until one snippy lass named Lexie voices her feelings towards him turning his perfectly controlled persona into a strawberry-craving pile of goo
That girl is going to remove that broomstick even if it is unintentional
At times the verbal banter between these two could only be described as some hot as-hades foreplay
Watching Lincoln's control slowly crumble- Priceless
Feeling Lexie's pain as the hits kept coming- 💔 I wanted to scream
I was already stressed about Lincoln's problems but add in Lexi and Eric and I was an emotional mess
To the antagonists (more than one sadly) I hope the karma bus delivers tenfold upon you
This ends on a heartbreaking cliffy but I firmly believe in Lincoln and Lexie
They have always fought loudly and hard for those they loved to ensure their happiness
