Snow in Love
“Hey, Golden Girl!” Sienna heard Connor’s voice as he slid to a halt in front of her. He used his wrist to pull up his goggles, dazzling her with his blue eyes. They literally sparkled like a character in her favorite vampire romance novel. Damn him.
Sienna bristled. “Don’t call me Golden Girl. Do you happen to see Bea Arthur around here?” Sienna assumed he wouldn’t get the reference, but she wasn’t that lucky.
Connor shrugged before stabbing his poles into the snow. He put his hands on his hips and said, “I’m more of a Betty White fan.”
Sienna slid toward Connor and lifted her chin. “Betty seems a little too sweet for you. Aren’t you more into the Blanches of the world?”
A glorious grin cracked Connor’s face as he chuckled. “Nice to know you’re worried about my type. Frankly, I’m surprised you have enough time to pay attention. Don’t you have a daycare center to dedicate, or a puppy to rescue?”
Mentioning her beloved dog, Roscoe, brought Sienna’s blood boiling. Throw in the fact that he mocked her charity work, and Connor Shoemaker was officially on her last nerve. “I’ll have you know, I like helping people.” She hesitated, worrying her bottom lip. “And I like animals. Who doesn’t love puppies? Roscoe is a very good boy.” She hated how lame her argument sounded, but she wouldn’t have anyone dissing her doggo.

Falling Home
“Are you seeing anyone in New York?” God, he didn’t think she was, but now that he asked, he feared the answer.
“No, I’m not.”
Max slowly rose from his stool, taking measured steps toward Ginny. He treated her like a wild animal, afraid if he moved too quickly, she’d spook and run away. “That’s good to know,” he said quietly.
Ginny’s eyes dilated, but she kept her gaze locked on his. “Is it?” she asked, her voice a little squeaky. She was adorable when she was nervous.
“Yes, it is.” Max couldn’t stop himself as he inched closer. Finally they were barely a foot apart. He could smell the mint of her shampoo and felt the heat radiating off her skin. “It’s a very good thing,” he mused.
Ginny angled her head up, keeping her eyes focused on his. “Why?” The question was so hesitant, Max wasn’t certain she actually asked.
Before he could talk himself out of anything, he reached a hand up to swipe a lock of chocolaty hair off Ginny’s cheek. Her skin flushed as he touched her, goosebumps erupting as he traced a finger down her skin.
“Because I want you all to myself,” Max whispered.
Ginny didn’t pull back, instead leaning into his touch. Their lips were now a hair’s length apart. This was more than the night before; this was the moment. This was his shot, and he was going to take it.
“Max.” She breathed his name like a prayer. Her tongue quickly darted out to wet her lips, and Max thought he’d faint.
Swallowing past the lump in his throat, he struggled to keep his cool. “Gin.”
“Are you going to kiss me?” A hint of laughter tinged her question.
Max smiled, enjoying the familiar banter. “Is that all right?”
At first she was silent, and Max feared he’d overplayed his hand. Then Ginny leaned in,
closing the distance between them. The feel of her lips on his overloaded his senses. It had been years since they’d kissed, but it felt like yesterday. He brought his hands to her face, cupping her cheeks as he deepened the kiss, holding her close. He cradled her gently, treasuring having her near again.

Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in the books?
~Snow in Love:
o This is an enemies to lovers and opposites attract romance. Connor is a reformed “bad boy” who used to spend his time bedhopping and living the life of a rock star. Since recovering from an injury that ended one career, he’s now starting over in a new sport with a new mindset. He’s ready to commit, in more ways than one. Sienna is a sheltered athlete who hasn’t been able to make her own decisions. When she meets Connor, she’s at the precipice of making a big decision. She can either continue competing or retire and start living her life off the slopes. Both Sienna and Connor fear their futures and aren’t sure how to move forward. Sienna is used to being in control, and she’s unsure how to feel about Connor. He represents so many things that have been off limits to her, but he’s also showing a vulnerability she can’t ignore.  I loved writing these two, because they get to be brave together. I mean, who isn’t afraid of the future sometimes?
~Falling Home:
o This is a second-chance romance, which is one of my favorite tropes. Max and Ginny are divorced, and she’s back in their small hometown for the holidays, and to help her father recover from surgery. Max is a cinnamon roll through and through. He’s never gotten over his ex-wife, and he’s determined to work some holiday magic to win her back. To say Ginny is reluctant to open up to Max is an understatement, but that doesn’t mean she’s gotten over him. He’s a hopeless romantic, and she’s afraid to face her feelings. I thought about having their story happen at a different time of year, but I’m a sap for holiday romance.  Who doesn’t fall in love under the mistletoe?
o Not that I don’t adore Max and Ginny, but I had just as much fun writing the residents of Buckeye Falls. Since this is the first book in the series, the readers will meet some of the characters from upcoming books. These are quirky, funny, and sweet characters that will eventually get their own HEAs.

How did you come up with name of this book?
Falling Home came to me for a couple reasons. First, it’s all about Ginny falling in love again and appreciating her hometown. Most importantly, it’s the first book in the Buckeye Falls series, and I plan for each book to have the word ‘fall’ in the title.

What is your favorite part of this book and why?
For both Snow in Love and Falling Home I really enjoy the grand gestures. Every romance book has that climax/moment of heartbreak and the reader is left hanging. I wanted to make the payoff worth it because love can be a rollercoaster ride. I strived to make the moments memorable and just believable enough. 😉

If your book had a candle, what scent would it be?
Snow in Love – Cinnamon! There are cinnamon rolls throughout the story, and I can’t think of a better smell during the holidays.
Falling Home – Cheese – which sounds both delicious and horrifying. Ginny and Max eat a lot of cheesy dishes in the book—from grilled cheese sandwiches to enchiladas—and it’s constantly referenced as Ginny’s favorite food.
