Yes I dropped in late to the party but I had no problem following the story
Vasyl was enchanted with Nadia the first time he set eyes on her
And when fate offered him the chance to claim her...
There was never any other option for him or her - she just didn't know it yet
Nadia didn't do evil crime bosses, even ones who made her heart speed up and her lady parts take notice. She had learned firsthand when they took her mother's life -
they were to be avoided.
This was a sweet story
Most of the darker events were off-screen though not all.
The intimate moments between our two main characters were hot 🥵 as hades
I appreciated that they matched in their darker desires and how aware Vasyl was of Nadia at all times and that it was not a whole book of her denying her desires. She owned up to what she wanted.
I do wish it had been a bit longer - a "me thing" for sure - I prefer a touch more detail when it comes to what motivates a character, a bit more build-up
For a short read, I still found myself invested in the characters and "oh no"'ing and smiling as events unfolded
I will be going back to hear big brothers' tale
