"I'm going boar hunting"This series rivaled Masks of Under when it came to the cast and the world-building
I cried
I gasped
I laughed
I loved and loathed
And dreaded that last turn of the page
I had become so attached to everyone
I know I rant with every new release she has but honestly, she is gifted in her ability to weave tales filled with such magic that it never fails to entertain and captivate me.
Each character has left their footprint on my psyche
So this is the final battle - I'm not spoiling anything!
"This is how it must be. I tried to spare us this fate... but I failed. "
I admit I did shed a few tears - I already knew of the betrayals and the lies from book three
What I failed to see was the whole board - To take into account the smaller moves that would have a greater impact
I understood what Abigail faced. How torn she was.
Loving someone isn't always enough when it comes to choosing
Head or Heart - Which to follow
" tell me you understand"
Some of the choices made...
I could see 👀 their reasoning
I didn't agree but I understood the feeling of not having a choice that didn't hurt someone
There were moments I felt personally betrayed
As I processed the maze of events (you knew I couldn't resist) I kept thinking there were better options - different roads they could have traveled
But alas all I could do was watch as the final battle was waged
One of my favorite Dark Fantasy Collections
I suggest dipping your toes into book one and beginning the journey

I am in love with this trio of Alphas
The balance between "me big alpha male" and "let me take care of you" was *sigh*
Let me just suggest reading in the bathtub - save on laundry lmao
Let us talk smexy scenes -
There are a lot and each one was five Carolina Reaper Pepper hot!
The chemistry between these four was spot on - I believed how they felt about each other. I liked that despite the physical draw it took time for the bonds to solidify - Not spoiling
This is packed with action and twists and a solid plotline that was easy to follow
I admit there were a couple of times I would have liked a bit more from a scene but that is just my current mood
I was enraptured from the opening scene that had my blood pumping to the closing which left me with all the feels and wanting more
If you are new to Omegaverse I would definitely recommend this as the power exchange is not as dark(?) or maybe more explained than some Omegaverse reads
There is some graphic violence - much courtesy of Volt (licked him first!) as well as power exchange
I would be interested in more from this cast

This is book two in the series.
It reads a bit like a running tv show with multiple storylines occurring simultaneously while each episode highlights a specific couples journey
It is not a standalone
It took me a bit to get engaged (a touch of catching up)
but once I did...
I read straight through to the end and No I did not peek
(yes I am proud of myself)
Packed with action and suspense as well as some twists that left me needing answers now! (this is where the peeking problem surfaced)
but knowing if I jumped ahead I would miss something of importance and have to backtrack later
The back and forth between Bishop and Larissa had me in stitches
I was a bit concerned after everything she had already been through
But dang if she didn't find her backbone among the English and give Bishop a chase to be logged in the history books
Definitely some great chemistry between these two
A certain horses backside gets his comeuppance
A smexy twin meets his match and possibly his mate
Bishop finds his marshmallow center (swoon)
And so much more
This ends on a teaser for the next book in the series though Bishop and Larissa do have their HFN

(got a bit scared a couple of times but I did not peek)
White knuckle twists-
And some seriously steamy smexy moments
If you haven't read the first two books you need to go back to the beginning.
There was a lot happening in this final episode and I am not even going to attempt to recap (I might spoil some great surprises)
Not only do we wrap up Levi and Tasha's HFN we are also introduced to some new characters as well as a little more world-building
Both of which left me wanting more!
OMG their little wee one -I do hope she is in future stories
As sad as I am to say goodbye to them I am just as eager to get Kimberly's story as well as hoping for Dom and Radar's
A solid trilogy with great worldbuilding and unique characters
A must-read for those who enjoy action and adventure

This is the first in the series and it took me a bit to get names, ranks, etc committed to memory. There is a lot of foundation laying taking place but it was a smooth process to acclimate
The author crafted a vividly wonderful universe with solid characters

It is a complete standalone within the series. The characters and some scenes interconnect between books but the important scenes are retold for the reader
This has a crescendo like flow to the storytelling and at times felt a little slow (not for lack of action)
Do not misunderstand, it starts out graphic, with lots of fast-paced action, there was just something that did not click for me until about halfway. ( I am weird that way)
I am not telling you the ending, that is a surprise for you, but it is a bloody good ending
I really liked how unflappable Giovanni seems
He can see past all the facades though some is more staying a step ahead and a lot of it is a smokescreen
You don't become the Godfather without being feared
Desiree, in his eyes, was the perfect companion. She had been raised to follow commands, she was in all definitions a trained attack dog. Her fighting skills have been honed with straight fight or die tactics for over 20 years in her mind every fight was a life or death situation
She was a mindless heartless machine
Until he showed her she could have more
This has so much substance to it
I did not even think about the age difference most of the time
They just fit.
There are multiple triggers it is a dark mafia so if you are not one to play in the deep end this is not where you want to learn to sink or swim
